Yoann Lemoine, the video director of Back To December, talked to MTV News about the idea behind the video.

“I wanted the video to be very simple and metaphorical at the same time,” the Frenchman explained.“I wanted to work on the coldness of feelings in a very visual way, playing with the snow, the distance and sadness. {Taylor} really liked it. The winter theme was very interesting to me— the snow, the ice. I even wanted the guy to go swim in frozen lakes at some point. It was not possible, but I wanted to translate how you feel sometime when your heart is broken. The snow in the apartment is supposed to show how connected she is to him. He is outside, in the cold, but somehowshe is connected to him.”

Taylor attended the People’s Choice Awards tonight and she looksfabulousas always. She went with her brother, Austin.
Also, congratulations to Taylor for winning Favorite Country Artist on 2011 PCA. Another fan-voted award for Tay, I’m sure she’s very grateful for it (: Elton Johnpresentsher with the award and she gave another adorable acceptance speech. However, she lost on Favorite Female Artist category to her friend, Katy Perry. Congrats to Katy!
Later on, TaylorpresentedFavorite Movie Actor award to Johnny Depp, whose daughter threatened that he’d be in trouble if he didn’t say hi to Taylor.

Billboard and Nielsen SoundScan has named Taylor as the top-selling artist in 2010.
Here are some of Taylor’s accomplishments:

For the second time in three years, Taylor Swift has been named Billboard& Nielsen SoundScan’s top-selling artist of the year, with over 4.4 million albums sold in 2010, according to sales figures released this week. Taylor was also SoundScan’s top-selling artist in 2008, and her Fearless album was 2009′s biggest-selling CD.

For the second consecutive year, Taylor isBillboard’s most-played artist, topping their annual all-genre Artist Airplay chart with more than 1.128 million airplay detections in 2010.

In addition, with over 34 million tracks sold to date, Taylor remains thetop selling digital artist in music history, again holding the #1 position atop Billboard’s chart of Top Selling Digital Artists.

Taylor has sold more than 4 million albums each year for three consecutive years, and isthe only artist to sell 4+ million albums each of the last three years.
