‘Stalking’ Swift

With fellow American Taylor Swift holding a concert in Manila just a day before them, Yellowcard was asked if they’d watch her show given the chance.

The guys chorused,“Yes, absolutely!”

Apparently, Manila is the third city they would play in after Swift, who is also on a world tour of her own dubbed“Speak Now.”

“We’re kind of following her. We played the night in Osaka after she played. We played two nights in Tokyo after she played. And now we’re here in Manila. We’re not stalking her,” said he, making everyone laugh.

Key recalled meeting the singer for the first time in 2004 at a corporate function in Minnesota where they were both invited to perform.

“She played first or second, you know, she was great but it was before I think even her first record has really come out. We were on the bus with her and she was like taking pictures with us and it was just really cool because she was probably, what, like 16 at the time, 17 years old, just starting out.

“And you know, to see what has happened with her career, it’s just amazing. It was cool if we were able to be kind of a part of something that early on in someone who’s gone to be such a success, such a massive force in the music business,” said he.

TAYLOR RULES.Forty-five minutes after Sam’s set, Taylor emerged on stage. Her intro spiel,“Magandang gabi po. Kumusta kayo?”, naturally sent the crowd thrilling to the Pinoy greeting.

Her warmth and friendliness turned the concert into a screamfest, especially when she sang her hits—”Love Story” and“You Belong With Me”—and told the crowd,“Mahal ko kayo.”

Aside from singing, Taylor also showed off her guitar skills. The teen sensation learned to play the guitar when she was 10 years old.

It was around 10:45 p.m. when the throng was seen leaving the venue. They went home with satisfied smiles on their faces, most of them exclaiming,“Sulit!”

Taylor Swift Online» Adam Young’s Valentine’s day message to Taylor

I wasn’t able to post this yesterday because I was away. If you still haven’t read Adam’s message to Taylor on his blog, read it nowHERE.

Here’s one of my favorite part:

I always love decoding the sneaky secret messages hidden in Taylor’s written lyrics, so naturally the day Speak Now came out, I played the whole thing from top to bottom as I added up the capital letters per each song’s set of lyrics.

As track 8 came to a close and the album switched over to track 9 (a breathtaking song called Enchanted and one of my favorites on the entire record), something began to feel curiously“familiar.”

I couldn’t put my finger on it. Why did the song feel so personal? Why was it ringing a bell? Perhaps it was merely the word “wonderstruck” that indeed struck a sweet chord, but before the second chorus hit, I’d already added up the letters:

A-D-A

And then it hit me like a freight train. I didn’t even need to find that last letter “M.” A colorful swirl of memories flashed before my eyes as it all added up. My jaw hit the floor.

Nice to know we’re not the only ones decoding Taylor’s hidden message. (:

Hey everyone, I’m back! And what’s better than to start my updates with the first Speak Now tour stop, Singapore Indoor Stadium.
According the the reviews/articles, the concert was about 90 minutes long and she performed some songs from Fearless as well as Speak Now. Setlist is posted under the cut to avoid spoiling some of you. However, I am not sure if she will use the same setlist on US tour.

The Seoul performance was Swift’s second on a world tour that kicked off in Singapore last week, to promote her third album, and continues on to more than 90 countries. The 21-year-old performer kicked off the show with “Spark’s Fly,” for a 14-song set.

“Annyeonghaseyo,” Swift greeted her fans. “Hi Seoul… This is actually the very first time that I have ever been to Korea. Thank you for having us.”

Radiant in a 1920s-inspired gold-fringed dress and black knee-high boots— the first of three outfits making their way through the ’50s to the ’80s — Swift proved her flair on stage with obvious delight in the fans’ adoring reactions, often pausing to simply smile at the camera.
